I need a gardener for Moto Mountain. i don't think it's my calling but I imagine it's great for feeling more connected to nature.
Yes definitely connects with nature. Most commercial processed food is saturated with chemicals now. The regularity of the seasons and times when to plant and when to harvest various things over time builds a mental plan that connects yourself with the seasons and constant anticipation. Watering new seedlings or digging the kitchen scraps into the ground and seeing the worms convert them into rich soil, waiting for rain or sunshine or apricots to ripen. The simple magic of how seeds germinate and grow and the security of having food growing on your land. The exercise helps too...hard to feel down with the sun on your back while digging new seasons potatoes!
