I recently entered the rabbit hole. I must say that it has been a real school for me. I have had to learn about money, economics, commerce, personality, behavior, psychology, cryptography (I still have very little to learn, I still have a world to go), art, history. I have had to learn to teach, especially to teach how to fish and not to give fish; learn about the true PoW and to keep in mind V4V, which has helped me see money differently. I must thank the great Bitcoin community for all this, of course a special mention for Cuba_Bitcoin and Stacker News.
But my question is, does the Bitcoin community promote adoption?
I ask myself this because sometimes I have seen that it can be a bit aggressive with new people, even a bit offensive. I can understand that sometimes stupid people that nobody wants come to the community, but not all of us are or are like that. Not everyone who comes has a high understanding of some topics and even when it is said that in a zero-knowledge environment an efficient economy can be developed with the use of money chosen by the community and not by governments, Bitcoin needs some knowledge for its correct use. Primitive money arose as a need for an alternative to barter, but Bitcoin arises as the need to free oneself from money that does not meet the fundamental requirements, but it is the money that many are slaves to and only know.
Let's be a little patient with the new ones, let's teach them how to fish, let them do their PoW, which is the philosophy of Bitcoin, earn what you are able to produce with your effort, but let's help with a little patience. Everyone is responsible for their decisions, they have the right to make mistakes, as we did once, today we know a little more thanks in many cases to hard experiences that some have gone through, in other cases like mine thanks to the work and cooperation of the community.
So YES I believe that the Bitcoin community supports adoption, but sometimes we should be a little more patient.
