Step 1: step away from the laptop
Step 2: Pretty much anything. See if you can get you face into the sun.

I turn on my smart tv(without thinking about its surveillance capabilities), crank up my sound bar, and watch videos of live music I love, which usually turns out to be early 70s Grateful Dead concerts.

When I feel low or unmotivated, I solve Rubik’s Cube using different algorithms until I master the algorithms. I repeat it until I am satisfied with my speed of solving it. Very boring but somewhat very effective in my case.

Is there an algorithm that you can recommend for a beginner? Something that is easy to explain and remember, but doesn't have to be fast.

Sometimes that's when I make myself do something I've been avoiding.
If you have an easy item on your to-do list that you've been putting off, knocking out a task can relieve some of that psychological pressure.

Many options:
- Go for a run
- Go to the gym
- Go for a walk in the nature
- Accomplish one really small task, then another, then another... let the momentum build
Soon you will feel better, sometimes you will feel like a locomotive... unstoppable

Get on the indoor bike and join a race or training session with Zwift. Clears my mind. Gets me back on track.

I go play 5-9 holes of golf.
Gets you outside and among nature, you walk 5-10km and sometimes after a hole, you feel you could still make the PGA tour 😆
