Just like the title says. I have some new Proton Wallet invites. They are not for sale. However, if you are sincerely interested in getting one and WOULD LIKE TO TRY OUT Proton Wallet as a BITCOINER... then send me a message on SN (or email me 028559d218@proton.me) or better yet reply below. I'll email you an invite. Please only ask if you are sincere and going to try it... as I don't want to waste them.
I personally think this wallet-by-email has huge potential and increases the transactional ease of using Bitcoin 10x. No more addresses required... just a (free) Proton Wallet email address usable by everyone and wallah. Address rotation is automatic. Thanks!
Great initiative. Not interested right now, but will keep an eye on it.
Does Proton Wallet do LN transactions? Or only on-chain?
Found these for a few discussions about the wallet. #620676 #621005 #677813
What has your personal experience been using the wallet?
reply
I don't have a lot of experience using it tbh... as other than a few transactions with myself I don't have anyone to send/receive with.
Overall I think the business model is excellent. When it is fully 'released' a basic proton account is 'free'... and the user can use an existing email account from another provider to 'log in' to Proton.
Several email addresses can be created and each used individually... so by giving out different email addresses, all with different key paths within the same wallet, it looks like different 'wallets' but it's all the same one just segmented.
It needs coin control but according to Andy that's something they're going to incorporate (they said).

I'll match the offer. I have 1-2 to give out as well. People who really want to use them preferably. If your setup is tight and you're whatever about it, would be cool tonleave em to someone else.
I haven't found a spot for proton wallet in my setup yet personally, but I like what they're doing (the email thing has potential I agree). Im also addicted to shaking up my setup regularly so I might end up giving it an honest try eventually.

Would that come with a new protonmail account too? Or can the invites be used for existing accounts?
I'd be interested in testing, been using Protonmail since ~2017 or so, and could take it for a real spin I guess :-)
Btw, does it include Lightning? If not then of course there would be a natural limit to how many transactions one might want to do for testing.
Haven't got QubesOS and all that setup running right now, but been playing around with things like that and all sorts of tools that could be relevant for testing I guess...
reply
As I understand it no lightning for now. They want/need it to be 100% non-custodial. Send a message/post an email address and I'll send an invite.
My understanding is it is for existing accounts or new.
reply
Great! Will send you that mail, it will come from someone else of course ;-)
Now let me see what weird account I'm logged in at currently...
