A relay is essentially a type of web server that uses the HTTP upgrade protocol. The rules for running a relay are no different from running any standard web server—there's no added layer of decentralization just because it's a relay. In fact, the current state of the relay network is one of neglect, with it becoming more centralized as it shrinks. It's important to note that illegal content remains illegal on any web server, including relays, and you're still liable for hosting it.
Where Nostr might offer an advantage over the traditional web is in making truthful content harder to censor. If an admin on one server is grumpy, it's easier to switch to another and continue participating without being 'canceled.' But at its core, a relay is still just a web server—albeit one with real-time updates.

I pointed out the aspect of the word "illegal" that many are using it nowadays. And not what others are posting on nostr.
Do you know the difference between legal and lawful?
Do you know the difference between moral and immoral, right and wrong?
Run your own relay nostr and do whatever you want. Nobody is forcing you to see those pictures if your relay is rejecting them.
Nostr is not a centralized server, is open relay.

Okay so do you support censoring child porn on nostr or not? The author of the post was scared and used unclear language. The real meaning is this: pedophiles are using nostr to share child porn. It is happening right fucking now, and that is a big fucking problem.
This is a very simple and clear question. If you are not in support then it's completely fucked up. Not censoring child porn is supporting pedophiles and harm to children.

It doesn't matter. You are now trying to put words in my mouth.
I was talking about legal vs lawful.
