This movie opened yesterday in Portuguese cinemas. I'd like to ask any stackers who have already seen it if it's worth spending a few bucks and going to the big screen to see it.
The city of New Rome faces the duel between Cesar Catilina, a brilliant artist in favor of an Utopian future, and the greedy mayor Franklyn Cicero. Between them is Julia Cicero, with her loyalty divided between her father and her beloved.

I haven't seen it but I'm curious. Young Coppola made my favorite movies ever, but I haven't been impressed over the last 40 years. The reviews haven't been great, but I don't put much stock in reviews.
Yes watch it if you liked the first one. It abstract and long parts that are randomly quiet with noise. Itsss longggg. I watched it online not sure if I would pay. If you can afford it and have the time it great
Def looking forward to seeing this, mixed reviews from what I can tell.
Reason didn't like it https://reason.com/2024/09/27/megalopolis-is-a-mega-mess/
Didn't watch it yet, but will watch this weekend.
Megalopolis is an American epic science fiction drama film written, directed, and produced by Francis Ford Coppola. I really enjoyed this film set in the future and it was good from start to finish.
Planning to go see it on a big screen.
This was the old black and white silent picture, right? From way back when?
Maybe you're thinking of Metropolis from 1927, it's listed as one of this movie's influences on the wiki.

Great movie by Fritz Lang, an early cinema genius.
I haven't watched this one, but I've seen "M", definitely a genius.
Yes, it was an excellent movie.
I hope this new one is good!
