pull down to refresh

If you live in a socialist or communist country, you should look to see if energy self-sufficiency is in your hands. If you don't live in a country like that, too. Many Cubans right now do not have access to water or electricity. The little food they have in the freezer, they can lose. Many hospitals without electricity. A country is being lost.
My advice: save in Bitcoin, try to be self-sufficient, try to generate electricity, produce food and have your water reserves. What is happening in Cuba could be your future, I hope I am wrong, I will pray that I am. ¡Viva Cuba Libre!
I lived 20 years in a communist regime. But I always stand my ground in front of the oppressors, no matter what. I was risking my own life and my family but I never let the guard down.
I always wonder why cubans are not revolting and continue to be such slaves. Communism is the lowest level of slavery. All the rest of the countries are also slavery, but at a upper level, where they get some privileges.
Why cubans do not take the remaining hope in their own hands and fuck all the system?
They have nothing to lose. You are afraid to lose your life? What comfort you have in this miserable life if you continue to live in communism? Stand your ground and do not obey anymore any of the gov rules.
They (the gov officials) are few, you are many. What they gonna do? Kill you all ? Nah... they need you alive to be their slaves. Slay the masters!

No AC, no refrigeration.
In the states, Puerto Rico is an easy-mode version of this. Very frequent blackouts recently. Not as bad as cuba though. And the federal government backstop semi guarantees that the lights will come back on, eventually.
I pray for the people of cuba, especially the elderly and those with medical problems.
No air conditioning in a tropical climate is no joke.
Hopefully in 50 years we'll look back on this from our solar+nuclear peaker grid, all hashing away to run the world reliably on a bitcoin standard, and wonder how such disfunction was even possible.

Didn't Cuba host some Russian warships over the summer?
The United States on Friday denied any role in the grid collapse in Cuba.
Seems like a suspicious thing to throw into a news article.
