My uncle used to tell everyone a story about how new recruits in Army are told by their trainers not to go to the side where liquor is given to them.
But by telling them the way it was a signal that they could go that side and buy them some liquor. It was amazing that most of the new recruits went that side and drank after the training sessions.

How can I not zap when even a word comes from you. I've learnt a lot from you and still learning. I was about to ask you on your other post about radio for the cost but you already had it covered with the link. Thanks for the info.
I don't use graphene but I want it and in future I'll use it so I'm collecting any info that can help.

I use the same app and I am quite happy with it.

Why you say no zapping?
Are you inspired by Darth's recent views on zapping?
reply
No, it's just that sometimes I want to post a quick suggestion that literally took me 3 seconds to think of and a minute to post. Sats seem unwarranted. It's just a recommendation.

Hmm, sounds like the labor theory of value...
What do you think @Undisciplined?
Part of the miracle of free markets is that the creator often doesn't understand the true value of their creation.
Solution may be for you to throw the zaps into the pool for everyone.

OK, glad I just swallowed my tea before seeing this. Best comment of the day.

That occurred to me.

I put that poorly. Value is subjective and not objective. Your valuation of your work isn't wrong... its just yours. But it also isn't objective. To me, this is a fundamental thing that for many seems obvious but it seems very deep to me. I think we often get hung up on the true/false of things instead of the data points that make up the macro level of things.
reply
I get it. I never gave it much thought before.
reply
I get your point but it's good info. Sometimes it's not about time, it's about how worthy the information is. Don't we sometimes zap a link with thousands of sats? Posting that link might have taken the op hardly a few seconds.
I just wanna say that zapping Sats is an integral part of SN and suggesting otherwise is gonna harm SN and as such I'm gonna reply Darth on his post. You'll soon see it.
reply
Okay. I was going to say maybe we should have a way to post without the possibility of zapping, but then I thought it through and came to the same conclusion as you.

Been looking for a good scanner app that's OSS! Thanks. Gonna zap you! You can't tell me what to do!
;)

don't tell me what to do

You're right. That was presumptuous of me. Or, maybe that was my diabolical plan all along? Bitcoiners hate to be told what to do.

You say no zapping and still got 600 sats in 6 hours. Would you have received as many of you didn't say that? I guess it just because you are that awesome. Or the app is great. Thanks for sharing. I can use this.
reply
It is a good app, but I think I got zapped this many sats because I asked not to be zapped. Contrary bunch.
reply
That we are. I almost zapped it.. maybe it's a subconscious thing.

So how well or easy is it to pick up for someone with zero coding skills and that’s all I know GitHub for? I’ve gone with Alby for now but I’m not sure once my 3 month discount runs out if 21k sats a month is worth keeping is all I’m doing is stacking them there…
Open to suggestions!

Do you mean the scanner app? It's free and you can get it on obtainium and avoid the github competely. They have other software that they charge for. It's also simple to use and the PDFs look great.

Is that what it is? My experience with GitHub is well avoided cause it’s a code repository/open source thing for coding and I am an idiot when it comes to code lol
reply
I am too. Are you looking for a scanner app? It's a good one.

Gunna sound super dumb but what does a scanner app do?
reply
It scans documents, like the big clunky office scanners from back in the old days.

Oh snap!!! Okay yeah that is pretty sweet I might have to give it a shot I got stuff to scan lol!

I need it for the small amount of legal work I do and for property management stuff. Until I found this app I was using a really bad android app where you had to adjust the corners of the document and they looked terrible. Everyone would say" just use the iphone notes app." I never felt like explaining how I am allergic to apple products.

Hey, I zapped you 43 sats exactly 43 minutes after you made that reply! It's miraculous!
