"nearly 90% of such requests for information on the purveyors of ostensibly “illegal or harmful speech” came from just one country: Germany." Who determines the misinformation? Seems like Germany does. So they will decide everything for the EU?
@TomK has been pointing this out for a while.

I thought it was all of EU, but it really seems like Germany is the one pushing it. Do you think they are going to censor their past?

Berlin and Paris are the dominant powers that literally occupy central institutions like the ECB, the Commission or Europol. Both are historically centralizing power structures that push the other members into their direction. That started after WWII with tje EGKS (regulation of coal and steel) and reaches until now where anyone innBrussels is screaming for censorship to save that what they call 'democracy'

I had thought it was the UK leading the charge on this. Quite a bit surprised it was Germany, and on English content.

Sometimes (WEF/climate scheme) they share common interests like exploiting energy and ressources by soft colonial politics

It seems like the EU is pulling itself apart. They need to get all on the same page, but arent. They are just looking after their own interests.

I don't know. @TomK knows much more about this than me.

I bet it would be interesting to compare search results from the US and Germany. Probably completely different because of the censorship.
reply
It probably would be.
