Never in a store. Only online. But I would love to. Unfortunately no brick and mortar locations around me accept bitcoin. I do tip in Bitcoin though.

Have you checked by btcmap.org? Have you offer a local commerce to accept BTC?
reply
I have actually spoken to friends of ours that have a small local farm and sell their goods at farmers markets about it and they are open to it for the next spring.
Other than that the closest location on the map is 2 hours drive from me.

Same.
I did go to a cafe in New York once that said "Bitcoin accepted" but at that time I didn't have any wallet set up on my phone, so I couldn't pay in bitcoin.

Hello shopkeep! Look, I know you're standing right in front of me and I could just hand you a barer-asset like cash, but how about we include some intermediaries via the internet and pay them some tx fees to make it more convenient?
Oh? The internet is down? Well, never mind then, I guess we can't do business.

At a conference buying beer, at a nostr conference buying beer, at a cash app pop, so that my wife could get her nails painted.

Honestly no, when I have used my SATS I have had to change to Fiat, stablecoin or Monero to make the payment, I have not directly paid anything with SATS in person, but I have received payments in SATS. Currently I have a small study group where I provide guidance and share my little knowledge with two friends and coworkers, and for a couple of months or more I have been paid directly in SATS from person to person.

I have done it at Bitcoin park. Unfortunately, that’s the closest place I know of, and it’s a four and a half hour drive from home…

Most expensive brick and mortar purchases I've ever made. Would I go back and change it? No, but might've been more diligent about replacing what I spent.
reply
You can do that?
reply
Nice try, fed! No taxable events here.

I voted NO just to fuck up the algo and the percentages 😂😂😂

I have sold it on cash app and bought things. While quick and easy, not a btc payment. I have paid others individuals for products and services. Not brick and mortar stores yet.
