What are your thoughts on gene manipulation? I feel like its gotten a bad rap
What annoys me the most about the conversation is that we never split the conversation into 1. what the technology can do and 2. what humans do with it
The tech is amazing if we have more yield, less pests and less pesticides. But what humans make of it could be shit if we throw farmers into economical dependence on big companies
I'm undecided overall. But I want the conversation to be nuanced about these perspectives

We tell you when the link is a duplicate of what someone else has posted. You can demo it by putting a link from the front page in the link form.
We don't prevent you from doing this however. Plan is just to make it very expensive to repost a link within a week or so.

Are postings in non-english languages welcome on stacker news? For example in Germany we have a very strong Bitcoin community with a very high activity: new posts, translations, podcasts, apps. I would publish or link everything so that German-speaking stackers take note of all the new content. Any comments?

Will be nice if posters would put a title or excerpt from that post in English.

At the moment it's only possible to include a lightning gift to a single bookmark/business card so I'm looking for a way to implement batch lightning gifts creation.
Also wondering if anyone tried to make a personalized card already and is willing to share the design 😀

I'm thinking of creating cards/stickers for coffee shops with an LN payment QR on it for the shops to receive tips. Maybe also add a link to a quick guide to LN & Bitcoin. Wdyt? Any suggestions?

Once I'm done with bulk lightning gifts creating feature, I'm going to add sticker format to the generator. I've already bought some sticker paper to mess around with. Also could add an ability to easily include QR code to receive tips 🙂
A proper FAQ is on my mind recently. Would you be able to perhaps share some links with guides? I'll happily add them to the site 🙂

For FAQs, I'd say a somewhat unbiased and trusted site would be best for beginners (which seems to be your main target) - like Investopedia
Then you could add Intermediate level stuff - e.g. exchanges have good guides/FAQs on Bitcoin
And then for an even deeper dive Lyn Alden's 'A Look at the Lightning Network' is a good one, that comes to mind
