These are protocols
  • TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol)
  • HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol)
  • FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
  • SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol)
  • SSL/TLS (Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security)
They have specs and allow for use by different applications much like Nostr.

You’re right. I meant protocol very loosely. I just mean the ecosystem and assortment of tools they built and put together for this site to work, all available on GitHub.
