Definitely, but lack of in-your-face ego manifestation means it's one of the better forms. Basically replaced reddit when they broke their APIs.
Nostr is mostly used like a Twitter. Just like with Twitter the experience is highly algorithm-dependent so lack of algo stunts it's growth. IMHO it should have shipped initially with more polish. Just today a major app disclosed a private key vulnerability that existed for 11 months!
