I have a question, who are the police going to defend? It seems like a stupid question, but no, the answer is supposed to be "the defenseless people" "victims", but the reality is "whoever pays them the best". I find it disturbing how wild the United States has become in recent years, it was supposed to be a safe place, a dream country. Everything the left touches turns to shit.
Have you seen the stories about P'Nut the Squirrel? Or Daniel Penny?
It's indeed a very good question who the police are even bothering to defend these days.

Yes, I saw the news. There are no words to describe the idiocy and evil of that case. The good thing is that in the United States it is legal to carry weapons, do not trust anyone, take care of yourselves.

It's going that way. Our neighborhood just banded together to hire private patrols. Irony is that a lot of these folks had "defund the police" yard signs out just a few years ago.

Um so as a staffer in Congress the average pay is much worse than the private sector without any of the good benefits. Factor in that it is incredibly hard to own a gun in DC not to mention we can’t even take pepper spray into the Congressional Office buildings I’d say we are pretty defenseless.
I don’t work in the headline grabbing area or where you would get click bait. I work in the basic sciences area with the National Labs, with academia, with moonshot projects. One day one of these projects could change everything and we are seeing that with quantum computing and hell AI came from the National Labs as well.
