These "foods" contain a lot of sodium, affecting blood pressure and causing many heart problems. I believe that a busy life, and obviously the taste, encourages the intake of these types of foods, as they are very quick and easy to acquire. True. Many of the recent scandals of chemicals causing cancer, Parkinson, Alzheimer, etc have been linked to pesticides. This is one of the reasons I believe some regulation is necessary. I can't trust the free market to outlaw the very profitable use of pesticides for farming companies.

I completely agree! It will be an uphill struggle to achieve some convincing regulation, because of the immense lobby that these landowners have within the state.
