This disconnect arises because public policy in many Western nations focuses on achieving equal outcomes without fully accounting for varying preferences. Professional and income differences between men and women are more closely aligned with average differences in interests than with systematic bias. For instance, it’s expected that men are more prevalent in physically-demanding roles, such as lumberjacking. These distinct preferences shape career choices and should not automatically be seen as problematic.
Now, we get to the nub of gender discrimination! There is none!!!! Go ahead and change my mind. :)
Had a funny experience applying for a caregiving role.
A hiring manager called me
I said "Yes this is him"
They said "Oh!" "We thought you were a woman" "You applied for a caregiving position."
I said "Yes I did"
Again they said "Oh..." "Well we were looking for a woman"
I said "Oh, my apologies, have a great day."
She said.......nothing and hung up the phone.
(The lady was super rude and nothing in the advertised job description said they were looking for a woman)
Was eventually hired by a male hiring agent......

Hahaha. So much for equal rights! This is just as suspected, equal rights for me, but not for thee. They do this every time, when are we going to catch on to it?

THEY are like this: What's mine is mine and what's yours is mine! Heads I win, tails you loose. What can we say?
