@JimFoxG23 opening channels (deploying new liquidity to the network) is not directly spending bitcoin on lightning network
that graph shows deployment of new capacity (bitcoin) into the lightning network, it doesnt show how much people are spending in lightning network

Thank you for the comment @aljaz It shows growth which is all I care about more people are putting bitcoin on lightning even though bitcoin price is decreasing.

I don't see it that way. It's similar to having fiat money in your checking account ready to go on a shopping spree. Plus other applications that will leverage lighting is very encouraging. As a long-time business tech executive looking at a growing network market I take notice. 10+ years ago and I was looking at cloud computing growth in the same way.
