Due to this meeting being leaked, it has already been rumored that this meeting will again be postponed. This is because of what this Committee does and how secrecy with these reports until they are finalized is a huge deal.

Only a simple majority is needed for it to be released to the public and several House Republicans have commented on how they think it is extremely odd for Gaetz to resign if he had nothing to hide esp. because it was right before it was supposed to be released. Even if they vote not to release it to the public that does not mean that the Senate Judiciary Committee will not get ahold of it and they likely will since Members from both sides are asking them for it.

Gaetz thought he could dodge a bullet and get out of this all but this is rapidly turning into a sinking ship for not only him but possibly bringing down other Trump appointees as well.
