I liked Star Wars, too, until the last trilogy. I think they were not good movies. I didn’t even bother to see the last one of that trilogy. I have the first six on DVD, to watch any time I like and do watch. Lately, though, I am being more into reading books because they seem to be much more satisfying.

No, I haven’t read any of the Starwars Books. If they were connected to the movies, the movies came first rather than book first. I have been constantly disappointed with books that are written from an original movie. My son, has read a few Star Wars books and has them on his shelf, but I haven’t touched them. They seem aimed at the youth market more than the adult market. Perhaps it is too late for me to enjoy them.
