Match Center Live (Schedule)

  • Australia vs India (Day 3, Stumps) This match is only going in one direction which is India winning by a big margin tomorrow. Chasing India's mammoth total of 522 runs, Australia is reeling at 12 for the loss of 3 wickets. Who could have imagined that India will thrash Australia like this after India lost 3-0 to NZ a few days ago?
  • WI vs Bangladesh (Day 2, Stumps) WI have scored 450 runs in their innings and this is a daunting total for Bangladesh and they will have to bat really well on day 3 to have any chance in this game. If Bangladesh show some fightback, things can be interesting in this game. It'll all be clear within a few hours from now.
  • Pakistan vs Zimbabwe (ODI, Live) Pakistan have done well to restrict Zimbabwe on 205 but at time of writing they've also lost their 2 Wickets. Given Pakistan's recent form, I doubt anything can happen.
  • WBBL: Heat vs Sixers The game is the last game of WBBL legue stage and Heat have denied Sixers a place in the knockouts pretty easily. Here's the points table for WBBL. Top 4 teams will be in the knockouts and all three knockout games will be included in Cricket Pool.
  • Gladiators vs Strikers (T10 League Abu Dhabi) This is the shortest format in Cricket and most entertaining. I recommend you follow this game to get a little idea about how it's played.
  • SA - W vs Eng - W (T20, Live)** England Women have won the toss and elected to field. I think they've

CricZap Cricket Lesson of the Day

What's Cricket anyways?
  • Cricket is a team sport played with bat and ball, in an open ground, between two teams of 11 players. The game, sometimes referred to as the "gentleman's game", is popular mainly in the countries of the Commonwealth. Cricket originated in England in the 1300s and became a mainstream sport four hundred years later. Today, cricket is administered by the International Cricket Council (ICC) headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The laws of cricket are set by the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) in London, United Kingdom.
  • There are three main forms of cricket played at the international level – Test cricket, One-day international (ODI), and Twenty20 (T20) cricket. The Twenty20 format is a relatively new version, introduced in 2004. International cricket matches are some of the most widely watched matches in the world after football (soccer) commanding a viewership of over a billion.

Anyone following T10 game between Gladiators vs NY Strikers. It's live now and Gladiators are scoring 3 runs every ball on average, lots of sixes and fours. Score: 45/0 in 3 overs. (An over has 6 legal balls)

They ended up 12 runs per over on average, wow!
reply
That's the beauty of a T10 game. Less no. of overs mean more freedom.

Not looking good for New York Strikers. They are 12/4. Very bad performance.
reply
They now need 104 runs in 5 overs. Still possible mathematically but 20 runs every over from here is a very very tough ask.
reply
SA Women have scorers 142 runs in their innings of 20 overs. Will it be sufficient against a strong English batting line-up?
reply

It seems tight for England 12 runs for 12 balls
reply
Because they have 5 wickets left so it's not a tight score unless SA takes wickets.
If a team has more wickets left in the end of their innings, they can go for the shots because they know that they have batters left. Even 20 runs in 2 overs wouldn't be more if a team has 5 wickets.

Ok , I can see that they have already won.

Update: Pakistan is 60/6 in 21 overs against minnows Zimbabwe. What a shame!!

Not many of us predicting Pakistan to lose.

I mentioned #780981 why they are losing like this. It's not a loss but it's a shame on them.

So castling the stumps is essentially throwing at the guys legs for a wicket?
reply
Actually Bumrah is the greatest bowler of this era and he is great because he's the Yorker king.
An Yorker is a ball that lands under the bat into the legs and becomes almost unplayable for the batter.
However, castling the stumps can be done even without a Yorker.

Nice. I always wondered why they don't just throw right at the batter but I guess they do in a lot of cases.
reply
That's one difference between baseball and cricket. In baseball the ball is thrown but in Cricket a bowler has to roll his hand at least 180° angle. The bowl should reach to the batter anyhow but it shouldn't be above waist height without first hitting the ground. If the ball does, that's called a No ball and the batting team is awarded 1 extra run and 1 extra ball.

India is on top. They really doing so well this time. I can see Pakistan loosing to Zimbabwe. Really poor display from batting side of Pakistan.
reply
Pakistan is not going anywhere like this. Their board is busier in replacing top players than giving good coaching personnel. There's an internal tussle in the team and because of all of these have a great impact on their performance
