What would you think about a project that "makes substantial improvements to both privacy and security" but publishes a single BTC address to receive donations?

Interesting concern for Graphene. I would comment more but I'm blocked on twitter so.

I remember writing to them offering my BTCPayServer instance to receive payments, but all I got was scorn, calling it "a cargo cult" solution for privacy. I simply deleted and understood some people just won't listen. Here we are, a few months later this is the solution they have to receive donations.
I am not that smart to make an OS like Graphene, but I was reminded how intelligence comes in very different flavors.

No problem at all, just pay them out of a coinjoin, doesn't matter if the address got reused.

You need to think about threat models. No government is going to come after you for donating to GrapheneOS. The privacy loss might be worth the convenience of a single address for them.
Silent payments need to come to core ASAP.
