You sound like a climate denier. Off to the gulag with you!
Nobody denies the climate, do they? People only deny The ScienceTM. The paid-in-full scientists all prefer the state line on it, whereas, the sane, not paid for scientists have a lot of questions and backup evidence that is not manufactured by AI or out of thin air. Imagine that!!

This really is the right way to phrase it. Most people who work in climate science are happy to acknowledge where their specific area of expertise might violate The Science, but they assume every other area conforms perfectly.

Yes, this is the draw back of scientism and state sponsored science. The “experts” are experts in everything. This is like assuming that actors know anything about physics or economics, let alone politics. Probably a big mistake.
reply
It's one of the reasons that I only ever refer to myself as an "expert" ironically.
On most interesting or important matters there are plenty of lay people who know every bit as much as I do.
reply
I won’t even do that much! I despise experts and expertise until they prove said expertise. Then, I never assume they know anything else about anything else. After Faucci, I think that is the safest way to go.

That is absolutely the correct policy.

Yeah, I am kind of tired of hearing jocks and nerds telling me what is best for me. They don’t know sh*t about my life, expectations and goals. That is another think I despise; liberals and their fellow communists, telling me what is good for me (even though it hurts) and then feeling good about it. What was it Chesterton said about that kind of tyrant?
reply
All I remember about Chesterton is the fence.
