Since I was a child I have had an affinity for listening to rock, for some reason when I was in school none of my classmates liked it, the only thing they talked about regarding music was reggaeton or rap, I'm not going to lie saying that I have never listened to reggaeton because that would be a fallacy, I even liked to dance to that music. When I got to college, everything was very different, it was like finally fitting in with a group of people, people who shared the same musical tastes, in my classroom at the university, absolutely all of my classmates listened to rock and I even knew more about bands and songs, it was a wonderful and fun stage. I was listening to music and one of the songs I listened to the most with my old friends appeared on the playlist and I couldn't help but mentally teleport myself back to those days.

I don't know why this song comes to mind. But it does when I think about college.

reply

Maybe it was fashionable at that time? Sometimes it happens that you hear a song for a while either on the radio or TV and then it reminds you of moments

reply

I used to like his songs.

Chop suey is such a banger
Great song.

For me, my uni days, the most commonly heard tracks were artists like Timberland, psy (yep, gangnam style was massive).

But this one's probably the one that really throws me straight back to that box room in halls.

Tao Cruz - Dynamite.

Hey, I forgot about it. I used to listen to that song too, thanks for reminding me.

reply

Chop suey blew my mind. I couldn't believe how different it was and was still a huge hit. I love SOAD. I didn't go to university so that is all.

reply

i prefer classic music at university and not this pop or rock because it distrubs concentration

reply

Of course, this is not a song to concentrate on studying, it is just a song to listen to with friends.

reply

None, I hated going to university. Happy to drop it out after 2 years, pure waste of time and resources.

reply

The important thing is that you do things that bring you closer to your goals. If college didn't do it, it's great that you left it.

reply

If it's an honest job done respecting good principles yes.

I even liked to dance to that music

I briefly dated someone from Ecuador back in the day. I did not really like dancing to Reggaeton, but boy did she and her friends from Latin America like it :) I still remember some of the moves to this day.

University time... let me think. Likely quite similar to now: majestic movie music, more the style than a specific song.

reply

In Latin America, reggaeton is played and danced to a lot. It is a guilty pleasure, because it actually has more cons than benefits (no benefits, really). What did you think about dancing to Latin music? How was your experience?
