I want to be able to paywall any given username.
If they spam me, I increase their fee to reply to me.
If they add value, I eliminate their fee to reply to me.
Pay to post is what allows stacker news to function just like paying a miner fee to add a tx to the blockchain is what allows Bitcoin function.

this an excellent idea to raise or lower the paywall in order to engage with a particular user! like a price of a backstage pass, rather than whitelisting or blacklisting.
shud be easy to code this feature - lkewise, it should cost sats in order to be able to do that, because it's like asking for help from the stacker.news devs to keep the annoying users away from ur posts.

No need to throw with many sats on me just for that. The votes on SN works from 10 - 100 - 1000. So if you want to "vote" is enough even 10 sats. Now, if you really consider that I deserve those sats for the proposal, then is another story. and I appreciate the gesture.
