We're off to the Knockout Round, with nearly our full party intact. For the third round in a row, nobody missed a pick. (You'd think with the league being so predictable, I would be doing better betting on it.)

There are only eight teams remaining and each round that will be cut in half.

Rebuys are also no longer in play. Just like the remaining teams, it's single elimination for us going forward.

Here are the eight teams remaining and who already used them.

OKC: nobody

Warriors: @realBitcoinDog
Bucks: nobody

I got extremely lucky that none of my remaining teams are playing each other. That gives me exactly one path per initial matchup.

How are you guys feeling about your remaining options?

Not looking good for me. That Knicks pick early in the contest did come back to haunt me. How many more picks do we have to make for the rest of the contest? 3 or 4?

Only three more picks. At least you're remaining options are also not pitted against each other in round one.

You ended up being in a great position.

I recommend picking from the East, while you can. Since you have every West team available, you're guaranteed to have whoever makes it out of that side of the bracket.

🤔. I've been thinking about it. I may go for a pick in the west instead. If I pick East , I may end up without any option further in the tournament. I will see also how teams perform this week and will decide later on this week.

Think about it this way: if you pick two teams from the West and get them both right, you may not have any remaining picks, whereas you would definitely have a pick left if you pick twice from the East.

That said, you should probably give more weight to the actual matchups than the overall strategy.

This is the other thing. I can see a couple of teams in each side that may end up in the final (OKC and Bucks). Not sure to pick one of them as I may run out of options. In that case, leaves me a couple of matches to pick a winner, where Hawks vs Knicks seems tighter than Rockets vs Warriors. Perhaps too many options is not as good as having less of them 🤣.

Obviously, I wish I had more options left, but mine are at least the favorites in their matchups.

I'll take the Knicks first and then figure it out from there.

If the Mavs or Magic win in the first round, this will get very interesting, very quickly.

Tonight's game proved it even more. I thought they got better because of a new coach, how silly of me. Still a mediocre team at most making the play-in.

They did really suck today. I bet on them, because of how bad Miami’s been, but they made Miami look dominant.
