It's really interesting, it's got some minimalist elements, those small changes to the main riff, just enough change to keep it different each time. It's a really funky riff.

I love the tinkling of that... I want to say xylophone in the background, really adds to the guitar.
I originally found the band through a weird... I guess independent art house movie called Six String Samurai.
They kind of lean into humor, but they have so many moments of greatness, including (I suspect you're right on xylophone) dreamy melody accompanying the guitar and impassioned singing.
Just put good music on.
