I often wonder how people can not understand the perverse incentives that lead to war.
It was one if the more eye opening things that I learned while learning about bitcoin. I try to explain this to people in my life, but they just don't grasp it. I'm probably not great at explaining, but I'm trying to get better.
IMO in the US people are insulated from the consequences of war. The constant cheerleading and Empire building is like water to fish. I get it but at the same time I disgusts me.

I think we should call BS on these numbers! The usual case is that there are far more injuries than deaths. I would not trust the numbers coming from either NATO OTAN or Mark Rutte because the truth is the first and major casualty in war.
Of course, here 10K number is injuries and deaths combined.
