Today is first day of writing journal and I want to write it till I die.
Can anyone teach me about what needed to be include in it and how to make it interesting so that I want to write it?
I don't keep a journal but sometimes I will write things just to reason through an idea before making it public.
I usually keep a copy in a text or markdown file, so maybe I am actually keeping a journal. For example I have lots of writing from my divorce proceedings, saved in multiple locations.
what needed to be include in it
The main thing for me is to have it easily searchable. I use meaningful keywords in file names. I also use Linux for all my files because it has tools like grep that will find every occurrence of a word or phrase in the whole file system.
I have kept a journal on and off over the years. I think it is a fantastic tool. For me, I always just let it be what it needed to be, stream of consciousness. Some days I needed to vent about something.. Some days I wanted to write about a vision or ideas that I want to create. Sometimes I would write about my dreams.
To keep to it, commit to a routine. Like 1 page minimum and at the same time everyday, first thing in the morning, just as an example. Make sure you have the space in your routine for a new habit.
I think this is a great idea and I applaud your commitment. Thanks for sharing here. Sometimes just sharing like this helps to keep us accountable and on track also.
