I really enjoy this movie in general. And it is especially near and dear to me because the movie is about events that took place in a place called Tombstone, AZ, right in my back yard. And the fact that stacker news has a wild west theme blows my mind. The fact that I get to live on the western front around trailblazers, both online and in real life is so amazing. Feels like synchronicity for me. Sometimes life is just too cool to be true.
Have you seen the movie? What did you think?
It's way more dramatic than what actually happened is what hear, but that's Hollywood.

You’re a daisy if you do.

Gotta love Doc Holliday. I wonder if he really said that?

I can't tell you how many times I've seen this!

I have seen it quite a few times myself. Quite re-watchable.

Insanely misquoted movie.
It's "huckle bearer" a huckle was on the side of a coffin. He was saying he will carry your coffin. Like what we call a paul bearer.
reply
Really? I had no idea thats what he was saying. Makes more sense. I guess a commonly quoted movie sometimes is going to be commonly misquoted.

Saw it for the first time in 2022, again last year (or was it this year..?)
A great movie, thoroughly enjoyed it.
I didn't find it interesting so stopped watching. Might try watching it again at some point.

It's probably not for everyone. Maybe it's slow to start. I am not sure what the appeal is to me overall. Just always enjoyed it. I have a thing for the wild west.

ya, rewatched it within past 12 months, fucking love it.

I saw it and I recall liking it but it has been so many years that I don’t remember it very well. I should watch it again.

There's a lot of good quotes in that movie.

There are some goofy moments in it that make me laugh out loud ("NOOOOO") because they are so awesomely bad, but absolutely love that flick.
Unforgiven (1992) is another personal favorite.

I have. Very good with Val Kilmer.

He does stand out in the movie. It's probably my favorite roll I have seen him in.
reply
That was one of his best movies. I think he said something like he helped write it because the story was so bad?
reply
Could be. I know when I visit Tombstone, the actors there aren't a fan of the movie because the story is so different. In the real story, there was very little gun fighting. I think in order to make it a compelling movie, they did a good job. There are older movies that tell a more accurate account I think.
