I really like the general layout and colouring of the above, but would like the needle and yarn to be placed a bit more "elegantly", as well as the gibberish below the name to be removed.

You need the logo to be vector format so it looks sharp at all sizes. That's about 2 hours of work in Adobe Illustrator to redraw it from scratch. I wouldn't do it for less than 100K sats.

Oh! Clean indeed! It has a touch of pink now doesn't it? I like the lightly dimmed look of the original, though, could you replicate the yellow-ish background and shading?
Also, could you change the needle and thread a bit around?

Pink? it supposed to be on white bg 🤔 It's just a try to create a simplified version with flat colors, so it will be easier to print or embroider it in the final products.

I'd like the needle to be placed a bit more fluently, like it comes "flying in" on an angle, with thread attached to said needle and maybe going / looping behind the mountains and back...

I'm gonna be honest with you bud. It's an okay maybe good logo but a great logo doesn't have both mountains and the needle. Too busy. Maybe you can make 2 things on it work but the way it is layed out here is too busy.

You may want to increase the cap height of the letter C. It feels squished, and my eye goes straight to it since it’s a main focal point.
Go check out open sans on google fonts and notice how C, O, and S extend above the tops of the other letters.
