If the last years have shown us anything, it’s that a lot can change, fast. While many events cannot be foreseen, can others? Ipsos asked more than 23,700 people across 33 countries about their predictions for the coming year, with a survey on topics ranging from technology to the environment and world security. This data is based on one survey alone and although it does not focus on additional knowledge of experts and analysts, it does capture a snapshot of sentiments and standpoints in different countries and regions.

What are your predictions for 2025?What are your predictions for 2025?

Kamala becomes president of the USA.

reply

For a week? Or, is this a really bold prediction?

reply

Haha, yes for a week or so.

reply

lame

Go big or go home.

reply

Hmm..

Kamala becomes president of the USA Earth.

reply

don't go THAT big

Kamala becomes president governor of the USA Earth great state of Canada

reply

That's a fun one.

@grayruby, what would you all think about that?

reply

Now we're talkin'!

reply

and I believe you 🀣 the world is crazy

reply

the surveillance and control state will start openly declaring that participation is voluntary, and the vast majority of people will continue participating.

if the order followers were completely honest, most would say something like this: "i don't want to do this to u, but my boss says that u are asking me to do this to u"

reply

I predict more conspiracy theories will be proven true

I've also remain fascinated by the apparent setup for a constitutional convention in the US: #783570

Quite likely one that includes FVEY countries becoming US states #783570

... which has recently been brought into the Overton window

reply

What's "FVEY"?

I appreciate a bold prediction.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_Eyes

tldr; the US and UK, NZ, Canada, and Australia have been effectively one apparatus since WW2

In the last few years the US also decided to sell nuclear submarines to Australia, yet we won't even sell F-22 raptors to foreign countries... nevermind nuclear tech...

Combine the militaristic stances re: eurasia/pacific, looming global financial system/debt collapse, covid/trucker psyops against their populations, and the fact it's basically already happened 80 years ago... I see it as yet another forcing function toward a US Constitutional convention

reply

I've heard of Five Eyes, but I had never seen that abbreviation.

That seems ambitious for 2025, even with the state Canada's in. Crazier things have happened, though.

reply

Yea the an O-Plan for something like this would play out over decades, so timing of the reveal a huge variable... all we know is the clock would have started in 16 when Trump was first installed, could take another 8 years for all we know

Seems to be the direction though since then. The chaos in Canada is actually what makes me lean sooner than later, it has no leadership so that vacuum would be an opportunity to do it. The worse of a state that Canada is in the easier it'd be to get done, and it's probably the most important to the military given the arctic implications if missiles start flying.

Brexit and their collapse as a country accelerates the timeline in my view also.

reply

Since I was completely wrong on territories this year. I will say we end 2025 with over 70 territories.

reply

I thought you were opposed to predictions where you can control the outcome.

reply

I am not going to start 15 territories in 2025. I promise I won't influence the outcome.

reply

How about amending it then?

There will be at least 69 territories that @grayruby doesn't operate.

reply

You just amended it for me. Thanks

I may know a secret that has me thinking this way.

New York Jets have best record in the NFL. It's fate. The Jets were the answer to last night's final jeopardy question.

reply

After week 1, maybe.

reply

The question: Which NFL team made the Superbowl before Neal Armstrong's moon walk (if you believe that really happenedπŸ˜€) in 1969 and has not been back since?

reply

It'll be one hell of a victory parade, when it finally happens.

reply

Only allowed if they bring back Rex Ryan

reply

One of the major corporate news outlets goes out of business.

reply

Can you tell us 4 or 5 just for the record? 🀠

reply

I don't want to be constrained by a particular set, but I'm thinking about the likes of

  • CNN
  • MSNBC
  • WaPo
  • The Atlantic

I'd count NPR, too, even though they have a different finance model.

reply

IIUC comcast is already trying to fire sale MSNBC

reply

probably all of those , apart from the bottom 3.

plus, nocoiners will continue to get rekd while happily saying that btc is used for crime and is a ponzi

reply

I have been anticipating a new plandemic for about 2 years now. I think it will come approximately on January 21st, 2025, during the morning, coincidentally when people will turn on the TV: At a random house, a couple will be drinking tea:

  • "Oh darling, the TV says that the bird flue has been killing people, we should cancel our trip to Hawaii! Hoho!"
  • "Oh no, I hope Pfizer will make a vaccine asap to save us from this disaster."
  • "Hoho! Thinking Pfizer will save us, I feel better now!"
reply

We need the 4chan whistleblower again

reply

Libertarians refuse vaccination and die off.

I don't see money backing these "predictions"...

  1. China finally takes Taiwan by force and consolidates itself as a technology super power.
  2. BRICS announces it has stopped using the dollar and are now using each other's currencies for trade.
  3. Trump's administration becomes desperate to save the dollar and starts to charge BRICS ridiculous tariffs, people become extremely divided.
  4. At least 2 new countries will adopt Bitcoin as legal tender.
  5. At least 1 country will add a Bitcoin fund to its treasury.

AGI arrives, the biggest release of OpenAI

reply

You're probably right. Is there a spectrum for AGI?

reply

AI vs. AGI vs. ASI

  • AI: Specialized AI systems designed for specific tasks (e.g., playing chess, facial recognition, language translation). These systems cannot adapt beyond their programmed purposes.
  • Artificial General Intelligence (AGI): General-purpose AI with the ability to perform any intellectual task that a human can do. AGI can adapt to new tasks, learn across domains, and reason flexibly.
  • Artificial Superintelligence (ASI): AI that surpasses human intelligence in virtually every field, including creativity, problem-solving, and emotional/social intelligence. ASI represents a level far beyond AGI.

What is talked about in AGI there will be domain specific, general and meta which it will learn and adapt by itself

reply

Bitcoin will become the standard.

The only prediction I consider myself capable of making at 100%. Is that in 2025 my Fiat will buy less SATS, less consumer products and less experiences... So we continue, studying, learning and stacking to the extent that existence itself allows us.

reply

Libertarians will continue to deny climate change despite the overwhelming scientific evidence and the deadly consequences of such denial- because Libertarians are a death cult.

reply

I am absolutely sure of that.
