Last month @grayruby finally gave up on his silly Pacers pick. Considering how many of our international stackers copied that pick, it may have been a brilliant bit of 4-D chess, especially with him telling me that he wanted to bail on the pick mere minutes before the end of the month, as we recorded our podcast.
We also had @gnilma bail on Brunson and Wemby for All NBA 1st Team.
Remember, older correct predictions are worth more than younger ones, so don't wait too long to get off your bad predictions.

I'm still not quite ready to move on from Luka for MVP, but those Giannis picks are looking pretty good right now, as is that Jokic pick.
Prize The pot should be around 5k after this post.
If you want to join this contest, just leave your predictions for MVP, Champion, and All-NBA 1st team in the comments. See the June post for more details.
I feel my picks are looking pretty good, except for the MVP pick. SGA is playing great, but these other guys are insane! Leaning towards going Joker or Giannis. Will wait and see a bit more and let you know if I do want that change.
BTW, Wemby had been playing great ever since I bailed on him, haha.
reply
He has, but I don't think there'll be room for him on the 1st team.

I think so too. Maybe next season when he becomes more consistent and when the Spurs becomes a better team. This young team is looking pretty promising. They might be able to make the play-in this season if they continue to play well.
reply
They're the 11th seed right now, with a winning record. If any of the old veteran teams ahead of them sustain a single bad injury, they'll likely be in.
reply
I thought I changed my pick from the Pacers to the Magic. Haha
reply
Changing from Pacers to Magic... It seems you're just trolling.
reply
Haha. Magic are good and Banchero is coming back. No value in picking a favourite since points get deducted for changing pick so I am rolling with the Magic.
reply
No else had your beloved Rockets, though.
reply
I may switch to them by next update. Then the grizzlies. Then the Cavs. And back to the Pacers by playoff time. Haha
reply
I doubt @gnilma would be giving you a hard time if you had switched to the Cavs.
reply
It feels like he's just trying to troll our friends here who don't follow the NBA. They follow his picks, thinking he's the sports territory owner and has got to know what he's doing. And here he is picking the Pacers and the Magic. SMH...
reply
What? Even if that were the case they should be making their own picks, not following my dumb picks.
That's funny! I changed it in the spreadsheet, but forgot to change it here. I did remember to dock your points possible, though.

He's been great!
28/12/3 and playing great defense.
reply
I can't get it. How did @grayruby and @gnilma lose some points from November.
reply
We changed picks.
reply
Yep. They didn't lose points. They lost possible points.
Each pick in June was potentially worth 10 points, because there were 10 months until the end of the season (I might have to add a couple of points to the Champion picks).
The picks they made last month were only potentially worth 5 points, because there were only 5 months until the end of the season.
reply
Thanks. I get it now. Sometimes we foget that there's lot of maths running backend while participants enjoying the pool.
reply
I see. But it's still confusing how you reversed? If I change from Pacers to Denver, how many points I'll lose ?
reply
Check out the original post to see how the points are calculated and how the contest works.
reply
You only get points for a correct prediction, so you would only lose points if the Pacers end up winning the championship. The reason you would switch is that you think someone else is going to win, which would result in gaining points.
reply
wait a minute! i'm in first place tied with @BitcoinAbhi and @Bell_curve with 70 points?
reply
Nope. We’re all tied for last place with zero real points.
