I don't think the US will get there:
  1. Our old people are substantially less healthy, so they have higher mortality
  2. We have far more young immigrants
  3. We have a much higher birth rate
Old people have a tendency to linger. Im not saying our situation will get as bad as Japans, but you can already see the imbalance.

Absolutely. It's a difference in degree, not a difference in kind.

There is supposed to be a big transfer of wealth... But maybe it wont happen if the boomers dont put money into btc? Even though the millennial generation is said to have the lowest amount of wealth accumulated, it might change if enough people adopt it.

The Boomers ain't transferring nothin'. We have to build our own wealth and stop thinking about transfers.

I realize this. They will probably use what little they saved in their retirement, as costs increase.

Yep. Most of it will go to outlandish medical expenses.

Depends on much they focus on their health. Some people get into that kind of stuff. And when they have more time in retirement...

Just routine medical expenses and eventual nursing home care wipes out whatever financial resources people had left.
