Well, I surely don't know too much about him. But I can say that I know not one but two coaches in cricket that are very similar to your claims about Campbell.
  • Gautam Gambhir, the current and recently selected coach of Indian team is a dumbass in himself. While he was a good player but I never liked his coaching for kkr for he used to decide team balance for his amusement. Sometimes it paid off but most of the times it didn't. Who would let a bowler open the innings in cricket game? But he did and kept on doing until it paid off after 2 seasons.
  • Brendon Mccullum, the current England Cricket team coach, is known for bazball, a form of aggressive batting all the time under all situations. While this is brave but it backfires most of the times, especially in test cricket because England is nowhere close to getting into World Test Championship final to be played later this year. Test match is a game of patience but he seems very adamant to change this description. While this is stupid but brave.
Sportsmen are generally aggressive by nature so it's not surprising his players like Campbell. However stupidity and bravery has difference.
💯 Gambhir is going to be sacked very soon if he continues his stupidity.

Bazball sounds like it is similar to the way Campbell strategizes.

That's why I included it. England has become a very dangerous team but again they have seen some of the worst defeats recently. In one match they have even been all out very cheaply and got the biggest defeat of all time. https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/icc-cricket-world-cup-eng-vs-sa-stats-england-crash-to-their-biggest-odi-defeat-1404684
India's coach is not behind. In recent tests with Australia India is losing because of his decision playing an extra batsmen instead of an extra specialist bowler. While that batsmen has paid off becoming the highest run getter for india in the series but India lost 2 matches because of the lack of a specialist bowler who could take wickets.
