I am tempted to read this book. It is good that Wilson's reputation has been rightfully destroyed in recent years, and it's true that there are parallels between what went on then and now. What bugs me, though, is how the reviewer basically dismisses capitalism as a failure. The New Republic's left wing slant totally dismisses the fact that capitalism has never been the problem. Centralized power of the big banks working with a willing government culminating in the creation of the federal reserve created more of a fascist state than anything resembling free market capitalism.
