If an archive exists (and is recent), I use that. If the article has not yet been archived, I have archive.ph create one.

Oh, interesting. How does it work for paywalls? I didn't find anything mentioned in the FAQ.

I don't know the internals that they employ to get around the paywall. For some paywalls (e.g., Bloomberg) it handles them well. For others, such as for The Block, not so much.
