Yes, there should be that expectation. I don't know if the survey is anonymous, but if it isn't, your data is theirs forever. The value of this data is relative, for me it's more valuable than a cup of coffee!

Each to their own but I have to agree with @0xbitcoiner - there ain’t no free lunch… if you are not paying for it, you’re not the customer, you are the product.
