I heard long ago about these guys but in all honestly forgot about them. For the most part they live in a specific cave system in Gabon and spend almost all of their life in darkness. Scientists only started studying them in 2010 and rapidly it is becoming more and more a parent they just might be a seperate species from the forest croc!
The orange spin is due to the fact they swim in heavy concentrated bat poop which bleachers their skin. It is starting to appear to scientists that these isolated crocs might have been separated from the rest of the forest croc population for possible thousands of years!
