Really cool tool! I have an excel file in which I try to have a record of my transactions and what I currenty hodl. I've played my imagination with similar amounts of prices, but this calculator puts it in great perspective.
Now just think about 8 billion ppl on the planet. If we could distribute all 21 million btc among everybody, chances are ~260,000 sats is all you could get... but now we got to exclude all btc lost forever... 🤯
It is just a simple division of (Total Supply Bitcoins) / (your BTC). For instance, if you have 1 BTC you are among (21Mi / 1) the 21 million people with more BTC in the world... It is impossible 22 million people with more BTC than you, because there would be only 20 million BTC available... If you have 2 BTC (21Mi / 2), you are among 10.5 million people in the world with more BTC... The "top" part is just dividing the result by total world population (8Bi)
It may be fun to think about that kind of wealth but who knows when that will happen. Ian from Flirting with Bitcoin podcast turned me onto SN - he made this calculator: https://goals.flirtingwithbitcoin.com/
Stay focused on stacking sats - Bitcoin is about giving people sound money...not just dreaming!
I've just been discussing this with a friend recently (almost makes me feel like you're him with a new nym lol). Sent you a small tip to your LN address.
BTW how do you come up with the "bitcoin lost" percentage? Genuinely curious as I stopped reading much about it. Obviously there's that guy trying to find his coins on the dumpster lol.
I could be among the 191,836,359 people with more BTC in the world (Top 2.3979545%)
