DC isn't a place where it usually snows?
The photos look surreal to me (I don't know snow), the landscape looks incredible, it really is very cold there.

So it does snow but it'll be like an inch or two on a big year we might get a storm that is 4 inches. This one is different because it just keeps coming. We have at least another 4 hours before we get a break and then more snow this afternoon. Its likely we will get over 9-10 inches!

Oh, I understand, of course, this is too much for what is commonly experienced in winters there, and they have said if it will last several days?

I have a lot of friends down there who are just competely freaking out. I lived through a DC blizzard in the late 1970s or maybe early 1980. It doesn't happen often.

Whats wild is how we knew this was coming! Where I am we have over 6 inches and its still snowing good out there
