So it does snow but it'll be like an inch or two on a big year we might get a storm that is 4 inches. This one is different because it just keeps coming. We have at least another 4 hours before we get a break and then more snow this afternoon. Its likely we will get over 9-10 inches!
I have a lot of friends down there who are just competely freaking out. I lived through a DC blizzard in the late 1970s or maybe early 1980. It doesn't happen often. I found it: https://www.wusa9.com/article/weather/weather-blog/40-years-ago-one-of-dcs-most-notorious-blizzards-struck-on-presidents-day-weekend/65-5d3e6d59-4cb4-49a6-9a00-4bd9bd4ec090
Whats wild is how we knew this was coming! Where I am we have over 6 inches and its still snowing good out there

Oh, I understand, of course, this is too much for what is commonly experienced in winters there, and they have said if it will last several days?
Its just today! There is a second wave coming this afternoon though!
