With Elon aiming for Starship 7 to launch this Friday, January 10th at 5 pm EST what is this test on and what is going to be different?!?

Well for the first time they are going to REUSE a raptor rocket engine in the booster for one! They are also going to deploy its first payload launching 10 so called “Starlink simulators” which are designed to be similar in size and weight to the next generation (V3) Starlink sats! Using Starship to launch these would be much more efficient than the typical Falcon 9 due to the number of satellites Starship can carry and release and the fact Statship is entirely reusable!

Starship itself will be different as this version is slightly taller, heavier, and will have next-generation heat tiles and next-generation active cooling experimental tiles!

Once again SpaceX will attempt to catch the booster while the Starship itself will land again in the Indian Ocean.
