Hi stackers, today I want to share something that just happened, and I’m pretty excited about it. I was having a few beers with my girlfriend when the hotel owner walked by, sat down for a couple of minutes, naturally, we ended up talking about Bitcoin, and that’s when I came up with an idea that could be great. I proposed creating a Bitcoin mural in the hotel where guests could leave their pseudonym or QR code to interact with other bitcoiners. It’s a simple idea: a place where we, as visitors, could connect in a more personal way by leaving our digital footprint on the mural.
What surprised me most was that the owner showed interest in the proposal. It wasn’t that he was 100% convinced, but at least he thought it was worth considering. This mural could not only give the hotel a unique touch, but it could also serve as a physical space where bitcoiners could interact, share experiences, and maybe even organize some informal meetups. Imagine arriving at the hotel, seeing others’ QR codes, and starting to make connections while passing through the same place.
The idea is much more than just a mural. It’s about creating a digital community in a physical space, where we not only pay with Bitcoin, but also build relationships. It’s a way to make Bitcoin adoption feel real and tangible, not just something that happens behind a screen. I believe this mural could be a meeting point for those of us who share this passion, something that truly brings Bitcoin to everyday life.
It’s still not definite, but the owner is considering the idea. I promised I’d keep pushing for it to become a reality. I believe that initiatives like this not only benefit the community but also businesses that get creative with integrating Bitcoin. Hopefully, we’ll see this mural, not just in this hotel, but in many others soon. What do you think of the idea? I’d love to hear if anyone else has proposed something similar or has had similar experiences in other places.
Thanks for reading, sat
Take example from the Bitcoin Hotel in Germany (Princess Hotel) https://xcancel.com/bitcoin_hotel They have all sort of bitcoin things in the hotel lobby: Jukebox, ATM, coffee machine, beer machine, ofc pay a room with BTC.
