A political figure persecuted for being associated with Trump and unapologetically so. He is a political liability for the dems because he is a sheepdog and a lion. He takes no sh!t, and ultimately this persecution is a self inflicted wound by Congress. This 2 or 4 month sentencing is a slap on the wrists, and will be used by the captured media to further scare people away from Trump, their anathema . Does this really matter in the realm of justice and free speech? Not really. Though in my opinion his being coerced to testify should be prevented by the 5th ammendment.
I put Ulbricht next to bannon because he really is another distraction, and a means to discredit the bitcoin movement. He is in reality a criminal and actually a morally bankrupt individual. He hides behind free speech and liberty while in reality had made contracts to murder people who stood in the way of his money. Many remain deceived by his bleating mother, likely the only one that will never accept the reality of the monster she created.
Here, again, was another test. Nobody even considered whether this man was unjustly persecuted. The facts of the case do not match the punishment. Here, an officer who chose to work one of the toughest beats in the country arrested a man in the powderporn neighborhood of south Minneapolis. Only blocks from the white earth Indian reservation. Blocks where I once spent a night at a friend's house in the mid 90's and was entertained by the continuous sound of gunfire and screeching wheels. Yes, this officer may have gone into the profession thinking he might clean up the world and make it safer for these poor underprivileged children, but no doubt within a few years he learned this was unrealistic. Anyone that keeps a job like this is in it for something other than saving lives. Maybe he really does enjoy manhandling and slapping up handcuffed minorities, I have friends that have reported things like this to be true of him. Nonetheless this is far from what happened on that day when he was called to bring in his well known acquaintance for counterfeiting charges. Floyd likely swallowed whatever evidence he had on him that would have violated his parole, and this combined with lingering effects of covid lead to a heart attack while he was being arrested. It's a sad affair, but the responsibility for half the cities in the country being looted and burned falls strictly on the first Muslim elected to the US Congress, Minnesota's own Attorney General Keith Ellison. Ellison withheld crucial information from the media leading up to and during the riots and even worked to keep it from being used in Chauvin's defense. Ellison single handedly brought BLM and Antifa to rise in power and created a leftist uprising in order to bait Trump into calling out the national guard which would have been seen as a fascist response. Trump didn't take the bait, and he let the blue cities burn while the democrat governors refused to ask for help.
They had a show trial in the very county, Hennepin, the most leftist of them all and only afforded Chauvin a grifter attorney from the police union who intentionally threw the case to save his own career and livelihood. Now the man is serving multiple life sentences and has been imprisoned in the general population where convicted officers are not well treated. At least we have Candis and Ye, the only people in the world who are willing to speak up against this judicial cowardice.
Yes, this is why I chose this Nym, to call attention to the 3 who were likewise prosecuted for trying to do the right thing but they made the mistake of being white while trying to protect their neighborhood. Should they have killed the man? No, that situation should have been avoided. Should they be treated as murderers? No, this too is another miscarriage of justice that nobody will likely ever remember and they will all die in prison.
We all know poor Julien, the one who dared to expose the most powerful horns of the iron toothed beast, presuming protection as a journalist and respect for the first ammendment. He showed us all we do not have this protection if what is to be exposed is the very cooperative that is to be restrained by it. Since his effective imprisonment more than a decade ago, we have seen only further violations of our right to speek and write what we know and believe to be true. We have seen agents of the government sit on the boards and in the legal offices of the companies that run the very instruments of our writing and communication. They dictate what is and is not allowed, and they control the outcome of elections and silence news and the collective investigation about the ways the elections are rigged. Assange is more than a canary, he is the only key to unlock these chains we find ourselves bound with. Assange rightly wins this poll, and I call on all of us bitcoiners to not shave until he is freed and wear that beard he was photographed with after being tortured for months in Belmarsh at the hands of our brutish brothers in England.
On Chauvin and the Brunswick, after the media heavily distort the facts and turn it into a racial issue, as previously seen with the “hands up don't shoot” lie, or the viral Rodney King edited video etc, it becomes difficult to argue in favour of the defendants, for fear of being labelled as a racist.
For this reason, they could have never had a fair trial and I am so sorry for them.
Agreed. Society as a whole has been demonstrated to be defeated cowards.
Control the banks, control the money.
Control the money, control the world.
I'm no longer afraid of being called names. I'm self assured enough that my motivations are not driven by fear and hate that a name caller holds no power over me.
Ulbricht was running a profitable business. An ethical business that happened to reduce violence. But it's still a business. Assange didn't have that financial motive, so him going to jail for what he did is that much more tragic.
Who's kidding whom? You arent innocent until proven guilty anymore. Our governent run justice system is a clown show for the gullible. Sure you can find a good judge here or there but anything high profile is rigged
