Assange is being threatened and indicted, the concept of clemency is still valid
Maybe there is a weird legal definition of clemency in the US, but semantically:
clemency: [noun] disposition to be merciful and especially to moderate the severity of punishment due. an act or instance of leniency.
Which implies that an a priori punishment was decreed.
I find it hard to wrap my head around that you can give clemency to someone who is just legally threatened and still innocent in the eyes of the law.

Who's kidding whom? You arent innocent until proven guilty anymore. Our governent run justice system is a clown show for the gullible. Sure you can find a good judge here or there but anything high profile is rigged
