Basically, any positive reading results in:
  • an immediate arrest
  • 72-hour detention
  • $150 fine
  • one year license suspension with mandatory courses to reinstate
And that's just the first offense.
I would wager that if we had private roads, driving drunk would probably incur a lifetime ban from that owner's roads. Why mess around with something so dangerous?

They arent playing around. This is how it should be in the USA. Especially with all the drunk driving deaths.

It's at least pretty unambiguous. I suspect a lot of people end up driving drunk after assuming their binge drinking has already worn off.

What really gets me is that drunk driving doesnt matter if you have connections. How many police officers get caught drunk driving but dont have to face any punishment? If they make in unambiguous, only the people that are stupid enough will lose their license.
