Matter comes in more than three flavors. Right alongside solids, liquids, and gases, there are bizarre states of matter such as supersolids (which behave like both solids and fluids) and quantum fluids (made of light particles that collectively behave like a fluid). Many of these types of matter are created in labs under conditions such as extreme cold.
