pull down to refresh

I agreed with Saints being the right fit, I think they're a decent QB away from returning to relevance.
But I also feel that the best place for him as a system QB is with the system he's in, I don't know if the 9ers window is closing but it's definitely a narrower window than it was. I can't tell if the 9ers got wrecked with injuries they couldn't overcome, or that they were starting to sputter out.
I quite liked the Rams call aswell, if Stafford retires, that could be a great fit. You can't say shanny is a bad coach, but of him or McVay, I think McVay might take the edge.
Prior to this season I would have taken Shanahan over McVay even though McVay has a Super Bowl but I was disappointed with Shanahan this year. Seemed to blame injuries too much and it was obvious their DC and ST coordinator weren't good enough, yet he let them stay the whole season and just get worse and worse as the league figured out their weaknesses. Also he stuck with some vets that weren't playing well instead of playing young guys that were showing a lot of promise.
On the other hand. I think McVay did an amazing job weathering the storm early in the year when they were also terribly injured and finding ways to win games they had no business winning throughout the year.
I think Shanahan is still a good coach but he needs a big bounce back year. Right now I would have McVay ahead of him in the rankings.

Yeah, I had the Rams in my mind as a floating through the season team. But that was just because they got so beat up so early. Once they regained health and form, they reminded a lot of people, myself included that they're firmly in the "contender" catagory.
You think maybe 9ers go after Rob Salah for DC?

I heard it was pretty much a lock unless he got one of the HC jobs he was interviewing for. I think he might get one though. Lots of teams need coaches. We will see.

I thought he was looking at a job in GB. Personally I wouldn't want him in division 🤣🤣 dudes a great defensive mind.

He joined them as an advisor but I don't think they are getting rid of their DC so there will definitely be better opportunities for him.
