Its a great and informative read.
In short Ulbricht believed in the right to trade without censorship and Bitcoin enabled this to be organised online. Without Bitcoin it would not have been possible.
Do nation states have the right to dictate what individuals trade between themselves?
Has the war of drugs been a success,or has it simply enriched and created gangs and organised crime?

I'll read it; thanks for the recommendation. And yes, since I asked this question, I'm now understanding much more about free markets and what the Silk Road was and what it wasn't.
