Surprised when the 'government reserve' is chosen, run, or managed by a government that does not understand Bitcoin and wants nothing to do with its sound qualities.
All the scammers (like the Ripple people) have shown up at the trough, looking to extract as much value as they can from a clueless (in my opinion) President when it comes to Bitcoin...
And suddenly, somehow many so-called "bitcoiners" on Twitter (which is a for-profit company) are saying "oh please government, buy my coin... but wait don't buy the other coin!!!"
Buy "only" Bitcoin because... that's what we want you to do!
Pathetic.
Bitcoin was supposed to separate money and state, and be operated and owned by and for the people, by and for the productive citizens and workers. Then along comes "bitcoiners" who, wanting to "pump their bags" (a CRYPTO term) want the government to buy Bitcoin mostly to make the price go up.
So they can sell it for cash
And now the government is involved and they want to tell the government what to do and what to buy.
It's outrageous.
The government really shouldn't be involved in Bitcoin at all. The government should be "hands off" as much as possible... instead allowing the free market to choose which crypto and where and on what terms is the winner... to above all else consolidate monies to one.
Instead, influencers galore want the government to "buy the coin" and pick winners and losers, totally opposite and diametrically opposed to the free market principles of competition and sound money.
What a bunch of whiny Bitches.
Bitcoin used to be and should be about freeing people, giving them choices, and separating money from state... IF and I mean IF the government gets involved of its own volition... then there is nothing to do about it. Bitcoin is for everyone, and it is impossible to stop it being "money for enemies" if they so choose to use it.
But right now, we are so far past that. It's whiny bitches after whiny bitches on Twitter and SoCiAl MeDiA, going on and on about how the government should "buy Bitcoin" and "only Bitcoin" and "do this" and "don't do that.." and blah blah blah...
What the hell happened to the once brave, principled, and strong Bitcoin community?
When you GET GOVERNMENT INVOLVED in something, you cannot get it "UN-INVOLVED" it does not work that way.
What a great, and SAD irony that by giving up its principles of independence and neutrality, SOME in the "bitcoin community" (a watered-down term) simp to the very government that they once sought to compete with and hold accountable.
It's disgusting, low-rent, cheap and a BAD look.
History will not be kind to Bitcoiners who have given up their principles for "influencer clout..." or in order to make a quick buck. They deserve neither... and in the long run both stay out of reach.

Oh you can donate them to the rewards pool.

The ones that want a "Bitcoin Strategic Reserve" are the ones that also will be the first ones jumping to use any CBDC or bullshit token created by the same central banks.
The idiots that want a BSR will never ask the important question:

If your BTC sits into a gov BSR, WHAT are you going to use as money? Tether? Stablecrapcoins?

Anybody that is cheering up for a BSR is a fucking idiot fiat maxi, that learned nothing from Bitcoin.
If you do not start using every fucking day only BTC, you are doomed to be forever slave.

Thank you. I don't know what has happened to the Bitcoin community. Simping for the 'government to buy' is not the right approach.

Do not mistake! The real "bitcoin community" are just a bunch of crazy psychopaths, not the hoard of twatter army... that only want to manipulate the markets.
