Seems like the people on Bitcoin Twitter are more concerned with woke people than Bitcoin these days…

I stopped using Twitter after they used my 2FA mobile number for marketing purposes
Although, I have to thank them for teaching me never to use my mobile number for 2FA

‘quit’ = created a new account to only follow more and btc content ☺️

I deleted my account three years ago.
It’s not just the censorship; the bots that try to scam people are another problem that needs to be tackled.
It remains to be seen whether Twitter as a platform will be able to become healthy again.

I use nitter to only really follow a few Twitter users when I am interested in reading their latest published content

I left twitter for good. I'm tempted sometimes to rejoin just to contact some people but then I remember it would only be drowned out by AI antagonobots. I'd rather wait for people to leave, and if they don't that's on them for committing their time to part of the problem, or for twitter to decentralize and become part of the internet ecosystem rather than a tool of woke monied interests.

Need a 3rd option. “Much reduced”

I deleted my account a few months ago unrelated to the Elon thing. Part of that was me not curating my feed better (like I have on Reddit) but another part of it was me just wanting to ditch an unproductive time sink.

A while ago, I posted something that the Twitter algorithm didn't like (nothing objectionable, just nonsense that happened to match their filters). They locked my account and demanded a number (I had created my account before 2FA was mandatory). Since I refuse to give them a phone number, my Twitter account has remained locked ever since.
When things calm down a bit, I'll check if the lock has been removed. I am mostly interested in contacting a few people to tell them where they can reach me. Beyond that, I won't use Twitter ever again. It is a total waste of time. Over 99% noise, and the 1% signal is very weak.
